My brother Frank came, but had the same news only that had been given me. The hours began to drag. I decided to go to Helena with my brother, as from that point telegraphed news could reach me much sooner. After arriving at Helena however, a whole week passed before a telegram came to me, stating that my husband would be in Bozeman the following day. Page 22 I lost no time in going. At Bozeman, however, I found he had given out at the Bottler ranch on the Yellowstone. A double-seated carriage was procured for the trip, and once again I found myself traversing the familiar and oft traveled road.
