Here we are talking about critical reflection in retrospect, and generally it is discussed in this way (Fook, 1999). However, workers could also practice critical reflection during practice encounters. Being able to think about and respond to reflexive reactions during a session (and, thereby, understanding the driving forces within the interview) would seem to be preferable to fixing it up later.
