Nice post. I love to fantasize about the lottery too. But it could be scary once people know you won it. It'll change your life completely and my fear is that my relationships will begin to be ruled by money and expectations. It's a tough dilemma to be in I believe. Thanks for sharing!

I agree, perhaps I too should test my values with the chance at a winning ticket instead of just thinking about it. Of course, playing the lottery consistently doesn't fit within my budget - but the occasional $1 here or there, usually scrounged change, is certainly a possibility.

I never remember to buy a ticket, either. But I told my husband I thought winning a lot of money would be scary. Mostly because of the people coming out of the woodwork looking for a handout. I'm generous, too, but no matter how much I had I wouldn't want to hand it out to just anyone. I would help my immediate family and dearest friends. I'd set up my kids to start their lives as adults. I'd pay off all my debts, LOL! I would give to particular charities that I already support in my currently meager way. Mostly, I'd try to be anonymous or get an unlisted phone number.
All those people who win huge money and then become penniless--I have no sympathy for them. Frankly, if you're a loser without money, you're a loser with money. If your values are well-established, you won't lose them just because you won the lottery.
Now, I should spend a dollar just so I can win and prove how well-established my values are, LOL!
